Bio Barry L. Roberts is the CEO and President of Roberts Music Group. Mr. Roberts has had a long and illustrious career as an award winning Executive in the Music Business Industry, having worked closely with such Grammy Award winning acts as Keith Sweat, Howard Hewitt, Anita Baker, Madonna, ZZ Top and Busta Rymes, just to name a few. Roberts first landed in the music business at WEA Distribution in Marketing and Sales, and then directly to Elektra in Radio Promotion. From there Barry Roberts went to Red Distribution. Barry Roberts always provided cutting edge, progressive guidance to the various artists he worked with. Currently he works with Sumthing Distribution where he serves as A&R Director and Director of Marketing and Sales for Sumthing Distribution; a company owned by Nile Rodgers of CHIC fame. Roberts also owns his own record company Buck'n'Run Entertainment Inc.which he started in 1995. This company is a full service business that includes a hip hop label; Buck ‘N Run Music, a jazz label; Roberts Music Group, and publishing company, BNR Publishing (ASCAP) and a film company, Roberts’s vision. To date the artists on the hip hop label were Da HANGMEN F.I.G.A.'s and DSU. On the jazz label there are three very impressive acts today such as Brian Jackson, Dave Mullen, and Mark Adams.
